ENGLEWOOD, Fla. — Frank Ciavattieri, 80 was arrested and charged with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 1 count of Distribution of Obscene Material.
Investigators utilized a special application to conduct an undercover investigation into the Internet sharing of child pornography.
Detectives were able to download files from an IP address geolocated in the Englewood, Florida area.
On June 7th, 2019, members of the FBI Fort Myers Child Exploitation Task Force, Charlotte County Sheriff's Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed the search warrant at 551 Rotonda Circle, Rotonda West, Florida.
Ciavattieri was extremely organized and kept multiple titled folders with over 7000 images and video of child pornography with children as young as 5 years old.
Based on all the evidence recovered on the scene and a full confession from Frank, he was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail without incident.
