FORT MYERS, Fla. — Juan Mateo Ruiz, 32 met a child in 2018 at a bus stop in Fort Myers.
Ruiz started a conversation with the child, who is in middle school, which eventually led to sexual relations on at least two occasions.
The mother received a tip from a family member that the child and Ruiz were seen with each other. The mother called the Lee County Sheriffs Office.
A thorough investigation led to the arrest of Ruiz. He was charged with one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.
Ruiz faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on October 29th.
