A Naples man who was kicked out of a home for stealing prescribed cat anti-anxiety pills was arrested, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies responded to a forced entry inside of a Naples home early July.
The homeowners told deputies a window was shattered and the front door to her home was pried open. There was also blood on the wall near the door and bloody glass scissors on the ground.
Further investigation revealed that a backpack and a photo album were missing from the covered area of the porch.
The homeowners identified 28-year-old Jacob Brown as a possible suspect. Brown used to be a house guest but was kicked out after stealing their cat's anti-anxiety pills, CCSO said.
Video surveillance from a business located across the street showed a male matching Brown's description removing items from the home.
He was arrested and charged with burglary.
