A man is arrested after being accused of stalking his classmate from Gulf Coast High School, according to the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
Diego Gutierrez, 18, was arrested on Friday after attempting to jump the victim at his apartment, deputies said.
The victim told deputies that he ran up his apartment stairs when he saw Gutierrez and two other people chasing after him. Once in his apartment, he noticed all three men leaving the area.
The mother of the victim told deputies that she is in fear for her son and believes that Gutierrez will one day come after him with a weapon, according to a report. She told deputies that Gutierrez has physically harmed her son in the past and vandalized their property, causing them to relocate.
Gutierrez was arrested and charged with stalking. He was released from jail on a $25,000 bond.
