FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Fort Myers man wants to inspire patriotic Americans all over the country to help honor veterans.
Trae Zipperer started the By Memorial Day organization. He and volunteers clean veteran's headstones that are located outside of national cemeteries.
He chose Saturday, January 11 to be Veteran Headstone Cleaning Day. Locally, volunteers will clean veteran headstones at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Fort Myers.
