BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Little League baseball players in Southwest Florida will now have an upgraded field to play in, thanks to some major league players.
The City of Bonita Springs received a $15,000 grant from the Minnesota Twins community fund to re-grade and re-sod Little League baseball field number three at the Bonita Springs Recreation Center.
Fox 4 was there for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Deputy Mayor Peter O'Flynn, local resident Chris Corrie and the Bonita Bay Minnesota Twins club worked together to get the grant for the upgrades.
