CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. --- Firefighters rush to a two-story house fire Friday night.
According to Charlotte County Fire, the incident happened at the block of 40990 Horseshoe Road in Punta Gorda. Investigators say the fire started when lightning struck the metal roof of the home around 7:40 p.m.
Both Punta Gorda Fire Department and Bayshore Fire Department responded to the scene.
The house sustained over $5,000 in damages.
