LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Deputies have arrested a teenager for firing shots at a store across the street from where he lives.
The 16-year-old suspect is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, four other firearm-related offenses, and Vehicle Burglary.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, multiple shots fired were reported shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday at the Family Dollar store in the 600 block of Bell Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
Deputies quickly identified the teen across the street as a suspect, and a search of his home led to the discovery of two rifles and a handgun hidden in the attic. A rifle and the pistol were reported stolen during an unrelated vehicle burglary.
The teen is known to law enforcement and has several felony arrests on his record.
Fox 4 does not identify minors who are arrested unless they are charged as an adult.
