Pedestrian hit by three vehicles in Lehigh Acres fatal hit and run

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in Lehigh Acres after being hit by several vehicles.

According to Florida Highway, the incident happened just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Homestead Road North, near Plaza Drive.

Troopers say the victim, 50-year-old Lorraine Miller, was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Homestead Road from the McDonald's and was hit by three northbound vehicles.

One driver stopped at the scene, but the other two vehicles drove away.

No description of the vehicles is available at this time.

The road is back open and no longer affecting commutes.
