LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Following orders from the governor, Lee County is rolling out their plan to teach students about mental health.

District leaders say it will spend 2-million dollars to teach middle and high school students how to identify signs of mental illness and how to help peers who are struggling.

A little over a week ago the governor announced schools are required to teach mental health curriculum
for at least 5 hours.
