CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Cape Coral Fire Department responded to a structure fire call after palm trees near a residence were struck by lightning and caught fire.
CCFD arrived around 4:40 PM Thursday and found the palm trees near the back of the home on fire.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and no one was hurt.
CCFD says the home did not undergo any damages.
