FORT MYERS, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis awards $2 million from the Florida Disaster Fund to help teachers impacted by Hurricane Ian.
He was joined by DOE Senior Chancellor Jacob Oliva along with staff from San Carlos Park Elementary School.

Governor awards $2 million to teachers impacted by Hurricane Ian
The money was awarded by local education foundations in the six hardest-hit counties.
- Lee County: $500,000
- Charlotte: $350,000
- Sarasota: $350,000
- Collier: $350,000
- DeSoto: $225,000
- Hardee: $225,000
These donations will help teachers in each district who were displaced by Hurricane Ian.
