CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Cape Coral Fire Department responded to a car fire on Pine Island Road and Del Prado Blvd. Sturday around 5:30 p.m.
According to CCFD, the fire was the result of a four-vehicle crash. Three of the vehicles involved were damaged by the fire. Victims were treated at scene.
Westbound lanes of Pine Island Rd. near Lowe's are shut down as of 7 p.m. Closures are expected to last for an extended period of time.
Florida Department of Transportation will inspect the roadway.
