CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Cape Coral Fire Department is reminding residents to turn off the main breaker to their house to avoid an electrical surge when your power is restored.
CCFD has responded to five residential structures in less than 24 hours, all of which occurred when power was turned back on.
After power is restored to your home, turn on the main breakers, then slowly turn on all other breakers.
