LEE COUNTY, Fla. — On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, the Fort Myers Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Fort Myers Technical Academy.
While en route, crews were notified a School Resource Officer was on the scene with flames showing from the building.
When crews arrived on the scene they were able to locate a seat on fire within the school's cafeteria.

Crews began to treat the fire and say it was contained to the area of origin.
The Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD) assisted during the fire.
FMPD said there were no injuries and the fire has been contained and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
