LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Lee County Manager announced Friday that the county has sustained a cyber attack, and they have shut down the county website while they investigate.

County Manager Roger Desjarlais made the announcement Friday, but said they can't reveal many details until the investigation is complete.

He says they are protecting all their data, and emergency systems are still operational.

Some current services are disabled though, including bill paying and building permit applications.

They have no timeline for when those services will return.
