Lee County Schools in session on Monday

All Lee County public schools will be in session on Monday, August 28, The School District of Lee County said in a statement on Sunday. 

"We recognize that some parents, especially those who live in these areas, may not be able to send their students to school, or may simply feel unsafe doing so. We understand, and urge them to make whatever decision they feel is best for the safety and security of their students, " said The School District of Lee County.

Teams will be out during the evening and overnight hours monitoring conditions in the hardest hit areas of Cape Coral, Pine Island, Bonita Springs and mid-Lee County. Additional bussing in those areas will also be available if necessary, according to the District.

 

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School also made a statement on Facebook that their school will not be in session on Monday.

School is closed for Bishop Verot Catholic High School.

Classes are canceled for Canterbury School on Monday.

All Canterbury Athletics are also canceled on Monday.

" Due to the extensive flooding and unsafe driving conditions in Lee County and on Canterbury’s campus, we have made the decision to cancel school on Monday, August 28, 2017. Please stay safe and we will see you on Tuesday, August 29, " said the Canterbury School Senior Administration. 

 

Classes are canceled on MOnday for Cape Coral Christian School.

Seedlings Academy in Cape Coral and Fort Myers will be closed on Monday.
