FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We expect the Lee County School Board to approve an agreement Tuesday to add mental health navigators to local elementary schools.
The school board says this program is designed to help students receive the care they need as their minds develop.
The board says the navigators are highly trained and specialized to work with students, families and teachers.
The meeting is at Lee Schools headquarters at 6 p.m.
And Lee County Schools will also talk about buying 46 new school buses. The buses would be to add to the existing fleet of buses. It would cost $5 million in total.
