FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Lee County Deputies are investigating a crime scene on Fort Myers Beach that sent one person to the hospital early Thursday morning.
Currently, the condition of that person is unknown.
Deputies are investigating the area in front of Mermaid Lounge and Liquor near Estero Boulevard and Canal Street.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the investigation involved two people, one of which suffered a significant injury and was taken to the hospital. No additional suspects are sought in the case.
There is a roadblock southbound on Estero Boulevard, but deputies are allowing commuters to drive in the northbound lane to get around the crime scene.
