FORT MYERS, Fla. - This year, the Lee County Domestic Animal Services is encouraging you to "Give Love" with discounted adoptions.
From Feb. 1 through Feb. 14 - Valentine's Day - all adoptions of dogs over 30 pounds and all adult cats will cost $14. According to a release, the reduced adoption fee included the complete package: sterilization, age-appropriate vaccinations, county license, microchip ID, de-worming, flea treatment, a heartworm test for dogs, feline AIDS and leukemia test for cats and a 10-day health guarantee. The package is valued at more than $500.
The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday at 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers. Adoptions are available 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
