Lee County Deputies arrested an Estero man after they said he threatened his neighbor's life, chased him with his car, and came at him with a crow bar.
This is the second time Lawrence Cerrato, 51, was arrested within a six-day stretch.
On May 20th, Cerrato was arrested at Southwest Florida International Airport. Authorities said Cerrato harassed members of the cleaning crew, disturbed passengers, and talked about guns and explosives at TSA. Once in custody, Cerrato rambled on, saying "He wanted to sell his apartment to Betty White and needed to get the windows tinted."
Cerrato was arrested a second time on May 26th. A man living in Stoneybrook said when he pulled his car into his carport after work, Cerrato dumped water on the passenger side and threatened to kill him, accusing him of having audio surveillance of him. The victim, in fear of his life, called 911. Cerrato then chased the victim in his car. After that, Cerrato went back into his condo, grabbed a crow bar, and aggressively approached the victim.
Neighbors describe him as a nightmare and say they're worried about their safety now that Cerrato has bonded out of jail.
He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disturbing the peace.
