The suspect's booking date is listed as Aug. 31, the same date as his listed birthdate of 8/31/2006, making him 19-years-old.

UPDATE 8/31:
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting in Lehigh Acres.

Isaiah Barsallo was taken into custody after he turned himself in at the Lee County Sheriff's Office headquarters following the shooting in the 700 block of Alabama Road.

The shooting occurred shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

"Patrol Deputies, MCU detectives, and RTIC analysts worked tirelessly throughout the day, leaving no stone unturned to ensure this violent suspect was taken into custody—just hours after committing a heinous murder," Sheriff Carmine Marceno said.

Detectives said Barsallo was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim before he pulled a gun and shot the victim multiple times. Deputies attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Barsallo briefly fled in a vehicle before later turning himself in at the sheriff's office headquarters, according to investigators.

He was booked into the Lee County Jail on a charge of murder. The investigation is ongoing.

"I want the community to know that my team acted swiftly to apprehend the suspect, and we remain fully committed to seeking justice," Marceno said.

UPDATE 8/30:
Deputies said one person died on scene. They believe this was a domestic incident. LCSO adds that it happened at a home around noon.

LCSO can confirm their Major Crimes Unit is working a shooting.

ORIGINAL:
The Lee County Sheriff's Office said it is working an active investigation within the 700 block of Alabama Road in Lehigh Acres.

The scene is contained and there is no immediate threat to the public at this time, according to the sheriff's office.

Detectives are currently on scene investigating.
