LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Irene Avenue South and 23rd Street Southwest in Lehigh Acres in reference to a shooting on Saturday.
Deputies found a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says this is a homicide.
At this time, the investigation is active and no further information is available.
