FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary at the Pier 41 Marine boat dealership in Fort Myers on Friday.
Deputies found the suspect Humberto Diaz walking from the business and moving two Yamaha lower units he had removed from boats.
Lee County deputies say Diaz attempted to run, leading them a brief chase, but he was quickly apprehended.
Deputies located the boating equipment hidden in nearby bushes along with a black bag containing tools to commit the burglary.
