LEE COUNTY, Fla — A Fort Myers man is facing multiple charges after he was arrested for Child Pornography.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested Josue Centeno on Wednesday.
He is charged with 10 counts of sexual performance by a child.
Investigators say Centeno’s charges were enhanced from a third-degree felony to a second-degree felony because of the images' quantity and explicit nature.
LSCO says the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received 14 tips from Google and Facebook regarding child pornography being uploaded to the internet.
An investigation was conducted, and detectives found evidence that Centeno uploaded numerous photos and videos from his email account.
Investigators say those photos and videos sexually depicted children.
Centeno was located and taken into custody with the help of the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force.
“This predator is behind bars where he belongs,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno.
"Our Special Victims Unit Detectives and Digital Forensics Unit followed up on every single lead. I am proud of the hard work they did to take Josue Centeno off the streets.”
