CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are investigating why there were large amounts of cash blowing down Del Prado Boulevard on Tuesday.
According to Cape Coral Police, officers responded to the 2900 block of Del Prado Boulevard S., just south of Veterans Memorial Parkway, due to a report of found property.
That's where officers found the cash loose in the roadway and were being assisted by a resident in collecting it.
Another resident arrived by car and said she had found money stuck to the grill of her car after driving through the area earlier and thinking she drove through paper in the road.
All the collected money was entered into Property by police and serial numbers forwarded to investigators.
