Lani Kai and Salty Crab Bar fundraiser for employees in deadly crash

Two Fort Myers Beach businesses will band together to help a family who lost their son in a tragic crash. Friends, family and staff of the Lani Kai and the Salty Crab will team up to help their employees' family after a deadly car crash with a fundraiser.

On May 11th, Florida Highway Patrol says a man was driving on State Road 82. Troopers say that man crashed into another car killing 24-year-old Joel Lopez, and critically injuring his mother.

Lopez's brother Antonio was also in the car but troopers say he was not hurt.

The whole family worked either at Lani Kai or The Salty Crab so now the restaurant and resort will hold a raffle.The raffle winner will be announced at on Sunday,May 27th. Tickets are five dollars each. You can buy tickets at either venue.

The winner get half of the winnings, the other half will go to the Lopez family to help with medical bills and funeral expenses.
