COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Collier County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Florida Department of Agriculture arrested four people and confiscated multiple counterfeit credit cards during

an operation that targeted the use of illegal fuel containers.

An investigation revealed that fuel was being pumped into unlawful containers that were hidden in larger pickup and box trucks.

Nunez Ramos pumped 25 gallons of diesel into a 100-gallon metal container affixed to his Toyota pickup. He paid for the fuel using a counterfeit credit card out of Hong Kong.

Deputies found 14 counterfeit credit cards for other individuals, most of whom were in China or Hong Kong when they searched his vehicle.
