COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A satellite shelter in Immokalee for Collier County Domestic Animal Services will permanently close this weekend.

The small shelter located at 405 Sgt. Joe Jones Road in Immokalee will be closed permanently as of Saturday, November 2, 2019.

The four animals currently at the Immokalee shelter will be relocated to the main shelter in Naples.

Residents who have lost a pet are encouraged to check the DAS website at collierpets.com for instructions and to look at photographs of the animals currently at the shelter.

Services that are presently provided to the Immokalee community by Animal Control Officers will be unaffected by this change.

Immokalee residents who have found a pet can contact DAS at (239) 252-7387 to request Animal Control Officer assistance.

All services are still available at DAS' Naples location at 7610 Davis Boulevard in Naples.
