CAPE CORAL, Fla. – We now know the identity of a utility worker who was electrocuted on the job in Cape Coral on Tuesday.
The accident happened near Southeast 10th Street, not very far from City Hall.
Police say the victim, 38-year-old Timothy Moreno of Cape Coral, was a lineman Mastec, a company that provides power line work for Lee City Electrical Co-op.
A Cape Coral Police report says Moreno was exposed to a high voltage electrical charge. He was transported to Cape Coral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
CCPD Forensics and Major Crimes units are investigating to accident.
