CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Several engines responded to a structure fire in Northwest Cape Coral Thursday morning that left a house extensively damaged.
It happened in the 3400 block of NW 18th Terrace, in a neighborhood off Gulfstream Parkway west of Burnt Store Road..
A homeowner told Fox 4 that he heard an explosion in the garage area, where propane tanks were being stored.
He was able to get out of the home safely.
