Homicide suspect in Dunbar shooting turns himself in to police

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say a suspect in a fatal shooting in Dunbar last month is now in custody in the Lee County Jail.

19-year-old Shyheem Taylor turned himself in to Lee County Sheriff's deputies on Monday night after learning he was sought by the Fort Myers Police Department.

He is charged with felony murder, attempted robbery, and aggravated battery with a firearm causing great harm.

Police say his arrest is connected to a fatal shooting on August 20th on French Street in Dunbar. Police arrived at a home on the street to find one deceased male and two other adults with non-life threatening wounds.

The victim was later identified as Xavier Williams.
