LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Cape Coral man reported a home invasion by men acting as police on Wednesday evening.
According to a Cape Coral Police incident report, the victim says he was in the living room of his home on SW 14th Place around 7:14 p.m. when two Hispanic men entered his home.
He says the men wore black t-shirts and black hats, both with "Police" written on them.
The men, armed with a semi-automatic handgun, tied the victim up and spent 15 minutes going through the house, asking specifically where his pain medication was.
The men eventually left with the victim's flip phone, wallet, and $385 in cash.
After they left, the victim was able to free himself and call police.
