CAPE CORAL, Fla — The Cape Coral community has gone above and beyond for this year's Holiday Heroes Food Drive.
The drive helps families in need during the holiday season.
The Cape Coral Police Department says officers manned two Walmart locations and gathered food and donations.
CCPD says they received 1,759 pounds of food as well as $1,914.43.
All of the donations will benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
