CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A Cape Coral woman has been charged with Hit and Run after police say she ran off the road and hit two teens Saturday.

39-year-old Allicia Harrington was arrested Monday after citizen tips and evidence led investigators to her vehicle.

According to Cape Coral Police, Harrington was driving near the intersection of SW 17th Place and 32nd Street at 10:49 p.m. Saturday night. Investigators say she was attempting to make a turn but cut the turn too soon and left the roadway.

That's when her vehicle hit a 17-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, injuring both and sending one to the hospital.

Harrington reportedly had initially stopped to speak with the teens, but left the scene when they told her they were calling the police.

Investigators eventually caught up with Harrington, who had already filed an insurance claim for damage to her vehicle and had it repaired. She was booked on two felony counts and released on bond.
