The American Lung Association's annual Fight for Air Climb fundraiser raises money for lung disease research, education and advocacy on Saturday in Fort Myers.
During this event, over 300 participants will climb up 535 steps, which is 31 flights of stairs, in order to raise money. This includes local firefighters, who are at an increased risk for lung disease because of the gases, chemicals and smoke they're exposed to.
The climb is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Oasis near Downtown Fort Myers. To participate, you must raise at least $100 in donations. You can register at the event starting at 8 a.m. For more details, click here.
