LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Security measures are changing at newly-renamed Hertz Arena.

New security and bag policies mean entering the arena will look.a little different next year. Here’s what you need to know.

Expect to find walk-through metal detectors at every door. No bag? No problem. The arena said you can walk right through security without emptying your pockets.

The arena encourages you to not bring bags inside, but if you do there are restrictions. Bags have to be clear or meet a certain size restriction.

Stadiums and events spaces around the country already have guidelines like this in place, and these will go into effect on January 1, 2019.

Here is a full list of what fans can bring inside the arena, according to the arena’s website :

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”.
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag of similar).
  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap and does not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”.
  • Diaper bags (with child) after inspection.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag, after proper inspection.
