HARLEM HEIGHTS, Fla. — The new school year's almost here, and ensuring students are ready is the goal of the Heights Foundation.
For seven years now, the organization has been helping students of families in the Harlem Heights community by providing school supplies.
About 20 local organizations collect supplies from backpacks to pencil sharpeners.
Students who participated took their back-to-school list to make sure they get all the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.
Organizers said there were about 85 volunteers and they expect to help about 500 students!
