Police search for Bank of OZK robbery suspect in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, FLa. — Cape Coral Police are advising the public to avoid the area around 61 Hancock Bridge Pkwy.

Police tell us around 2:30 pm white male wearing baseball cap comes into the Bank OZK at Santa Barbara and Hancock Bridge and hands a note to a teller demanding money.

No weapon was displayed or seen by the employees within the bank.

The suspect is being described as a white male, was dressed in jeans, a black long sleeve shirt and a Steelers baseball cap.

The teller complied and the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was displayed. Authorities say it is hard to say now if it is linked to other recent robberies.
