The Gulf Coast Humane Society working to end the stigma against pit bulls.

The humane society launched a special promotion called Dolly's Dream to help land forever homes for bully breeds.

"They get a crate, treats, food, they get toys, a bed, you name it we are going to provide it with dolly's dream," said Jessica Bamford, Gulf Coast Humane Society's volunteer coordinator.

Dolly's Dream is a program which aims to break down the negative stereotype for bully breeds like pit bulls.

"It's amazing, that is hundreds of dollars worth of stuff that they are being provided for a dog that they are saving," said Bamford.

Dolly's Dream loves Gulf Coast Humane Society hand picking them to launch their program in Southwest Florida.

"We are very fortunate to be the first west coast shelter in Florida to have us be advocate for bully breeds."

They hope the incentive program catches on and more bully breeds find forever homes.

"People are starting to learn it is based on the dog and not the breed, we have always been an advocate for them. we love them."
