Groundbreaking for new North Fort Myers library

LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- Construction crews will start building a new library in North Fort Myers. Four in your corner was at the groundbreaking ceremony on November 29th, 2017.

The new library will be built on the same site as the old library on Tamiami Trail, a mile north of Pine Island Road and Bayshore Road. 

The new library will cost $12 million. Existing library funds will be used to pay for the construction. It is expected to open in 2019. A temporary library is set up right now at 50 Pine Island Road North, in North Fort Myers.
