Golf club wielding burglar invades neighboring home

Posted

A Naples man accused of breaking into a home and using a golf club as a weapon was arrested.

Collier County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a home on Airport Pulling Road North in Naples after reports of an armed burglary, Thursday.

Upon arriving to the scene, deputies observed that the front door window of the home was shattered and a golf club was left behind, CCSO said in a statement.

The residents of the home told deputies that their neighbor, 32-year-old Forrest Cowan, entered the home uninvited and attacked them. He's also accused of pinning one of the residents on the ground before exiting the home and leaving his gold club behind.

Deputies say when they confronted Forrest at his home, they found golf clubs that were identical to the club left at the scene.

Forrest was arrested and transported to the Naples Jail Center. He faces Burglary, Battery and Criminal Mischief charges.
