FORT MYERS, Fla. — Sky Zone Fort Myers will be hosting a fundraiser for Lights for Layla nonprofit on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from 3 pm to 8 pm.

The goal is to raise as much as possible to aid the Lee County Sheriff's Office mission to put flashing LED lights on every student's backpack in Lee County.

The sheriff's office will be establishing a nonprofit called "Compassionate Cops" to manage the donations and help purchase the lights.

Sky Zone Fort Myers will be offering free jump passes during the fundraiser to all its guests. Donations will be collected the entire night of the fundraiser.

Sky Zone Fort Myers will encourage its guests to help the sheriff's office make their goal a reality and donate.

Lights for Layla is a nonprofit organization that was created after 8-year-old Layla Aiken was fatally struck by a vehicle while waiting for her school bus.
