COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.-- There's an event to honor those who have made a difference in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
On December 1, the "Celebration of Caring" fundraiser will bring the community together to honor those who helped Collier County recover.
Proceeds will benefit the Collier Comes Together Disaster Relief Fund. Almost $1 million has been disbursed to non-profits to provide for immediate disaster relief and long-term housing needs.
100% of donations will be distributed to victims. There will be hors d'oeuvres, a candle light ceremony and the opportunity for guests to share their Irma goodwill stories.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door or online.
It will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Naples Botanical Gardens.
