FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Robert H. L. Dabney American Legion Post #192 is providing free Christmas gifts for children in Southwest Florida on Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 1 p.m. until all the toys have been given away.
This year, American Legion Post #192 located at 3130 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, in Fort Myers, has a mission to provide as many school-aged children as possible with toys for Christmas. Truckloads of toys and bikes are available through the COVID-safe 2020 Free Toy Giveaway.
“We are very excited about this annual project," said Post Commander Andrea Grady. No child should have to experience Christmas without a toy.”
COVID-safe rules:
- Masks and social distancing (minimum of six feet) are a must
- Children and parents must come together
- No loitering or lingering allowed once toys and bikes are selected.
- First come, first served.
