Four teenagers injured when SUV hits tree in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say an apparently out of control SUV hit a tree in Fort Myers Wednesday morning, injuring four people inside the vehicle.

The crash happened around 8:30 am along Red Cedar Drive near Boy Hayley Lane.

According to Fort Myers Police, four male teenagers were in the SUV when it hit a tree, causing serious injuries to all four.

A small fire broke out at the scene after the crash while passengers were trapped inside, but it was quickly contained.
