Four teens injured in Lee County accident

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says four teens are injured following an accident on Three Oaks Parkway and Estero Parkway Saturday night. The 18-year-old driver was traveling southbound on Three Oaks Parkway in the left turn lane with three teen passengers in the car.

The driver of the second car was traveling north on Three Oaks Parkway. Troopers say the first driver attempted to make a left turn from Three Oaks Parkway to Estero Parkway and disregarded the red light. As a result, both vehicles collided.

Troopers say the 18-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The passengers in the vehicle were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the second car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Troopers charged the 18-year-old driver with disregarding a red traffic signal.
