CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A combination of dead grass and debris is fouling up a Cape Coral canal, much to the dismay of area neighbors.
The canal along Southeast 21st Avenue at Hancock Bridge Parkway is almost totally covered in the debris.
City representatives say some trash was removed from the waterway last week, but the plants need to be removed by another agency.
They're hoping the ongoing rainy season will help flush the debris out.
