FORT MYERS, Fla. — If your weekend plans include a trip to Walmart this weekend, keep in mind that one location has temporarily closed its doors.

The Walmart Supercenter located at 4770 Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers has closed its doors in an effort to "sanitize the facility", according to a Walmart spokeswoman.

The store is set to re-open at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning.

FOX 4 is working to learn more about the temporary closure.

Below is the full statement from Walmart to FOX 4:

“In consideration of the health and safety of our customers and associates, we have temporarily closed the Walmart Supercenter on Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers to sanitize the facility. The store is expected to re-open at 7 am tomorrow morning.”
