There was plenty to do in Southwest Florida today.
The Fort Myers Seafood and Music Festival and The Naples New year’s art Show.
Fox 4 stopped by The Seafood and Live Music Festival in Downtown Fort Myers.
The festival Director Ron Soto says its a must-see.
“A nice crowd...there’s great food and music and of course there is a full bar,” said Ron Soto.
The seafood and great location draw people in year after year.
“The weather is awesome, the view of the canal, the food is awesome and lots of seafood,” said a festival-goer.
The Naples 24th annual New Year Art Show hosted hundreds of artist from all over featuring sculptures, paintings, jewelry, and so much more
“All of the culture all of the art, all different forms of art, the type of art is different than anything you will see anywhere else,” said an art show-goer.
Artist Lyn Sedlak-Ford says her art is inspired by life’s ups and downs, which is why each piece signifies a special moment in time.
“They want work that no one else is creating they want something really unique, ” said Lyn Sedlak-Ford.
It’s the first weekend of the new year and already we are kicking it off with fun-filled activities all weekend long.
